The feeder idea worked a bit too well…
The entire family of squirrels were out in force on Monday, taking it in turns and causing a squirrel jam.
They had finished off all of the food by Tuesday and destroyed the stick I so carefully whittled. They’re now sitting aroung the branches looking furiously at the empty feeder. The picture shows them on Tuesday morning (I know it’s a poor picture but it was early and I’m not Simon King!)

From left to right:
psycadelic rabit, tiny blue sock, scary monkey, tiny pink sock and the first one.
The above 2 were made from baby socks – pretty tricky as they’re not the right shape and very fiddly however I’m sure the twingles will enjoy them when they’re old enough to not swallow bits of them.
Our squirrel inclusive bird feeder has turned out to be squrrel proof.
Plan A had me out in the garden this morning whittling a stick to fit between the tree and the feeder along with adding some dangly string.
Time will tell if this works.
